OLA S1 Pro : The OLA S1 Pro is proving to be a disruptive product in the Indian electric two-wheeler industry.
Its aggressive looks, multitude of tech and strong performance has turned the heads of the youth and the urban commuter prospect too.
It’s competitive pricing and its modern, sharp look, are what make it look different against regular petrol scooters. With this dhakad launch OLA has certainly brought the EV segment on its toes.
When I first saw this scooter, the OLA S1 Pro (and the electric C1, read the review here), the first thing that struck me was how futuristic it looks.
It’s rounded and smooth, sort of clean and minimalistic in the front-end, which conjures up a bit of a premium and aerodynamic vibe.
Perfect for various colors, can be more young and dynamic with scooter. With its LED headlamp and integrating indicators, it projects a modern and aggressive presence on the road.
The overall styling is much more European looking than anything else you see on Indian roads.
Boosting Confidence While Riding with Powerful Motor
Powering the S1 Pro, is an 8.5kW peak high-performance electric motor under the hood. Its acceleration is quite rapid, and from a standstill to 0-40km/h is achieved in approximately 3 seconds.
Almost 120 km/h top speed is absolutely amazing for a scooter in this group. It offers an exciting ride in the city, where it is also stable on the highway.
It can cater to your mood and road, thanks to different riding modes such as Normal, Sport and Hyper.
Long Range for Daily Travel
The OLA S1 Pro’s biggest strength is its exceptional range. In ideal conditions it can range up to 180+ km on a single charge.
Making it perfect for the daily commuter and weekend long distancer. The scooter even features regenerative braking that works to optimize the use of the power.
Better infrastructure means city riders don’t have to worry about charging as much.
Feature-Packed Tech Machine
The S1 Pro’s not just brawn and beauty — it’s intelligent, too. It sports a 7-inch touchscreen display, which is driven by MoveOS OLA’s own OS.
Whether it’s Bluetooth-conntected voice command for hands-free GPS navigation or music playback, it always works great. In addition, it continues to add new features via over-the-air software updates.
Keyless start and proximity unlock, reverse mode and cruise control make ownership today seem futuristic.
Comfort riding, and intelligent control
The suspensions are well set for city riding. It gets a single fork suspension unit at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear for a comfortable ride over potholes.
Riding posture is seating for a smooth saddle and big flip floorboard. With a pillion, the scooter manages to hold on pretty well.
It has a low CG and well-balanced weight distribution that make it nimble and entertaining in traffic.
Safety and Braking System
Nor has safety been sacrificed. The stopping power is provided by front and rear disc brakes with combined braking system (CBS) system on OLA S1 Pro.
The big 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres provide excellent grip on Indian roads. The scooter is also great with heavy braking and tight turns.
It even has anti-theft alerts and geo-fencing features for peace of mind.
